Who runs this
Software for Restaurants provides clear, data-driven comparisons of software products used by restaurants, cafés, food trucks, and bars.
Tools appear in comparisons in the categories they belong to, including Bzz for waitlists, reservations, and order-ready alerts. Every tool is scored on transparent axes, with pricing, trade-offs, and limitations clearly detailed.
The methodology page sets out how the scoring works.
Why this site exists
Spending time on the operations side of small food businesses showed that the software buying advice available online is mostly written to rank, not to help. Long lists of vendors, no prices, no opinion, and no acknowledgement that a truck and a 120-cover dining room are not buying the same thing. So we started writing the comparisons we wanted to read.
How to correct us
If a price is wrong, a score is unfair, or we have missed a product that should be in a table, say so and we will fix it and date the change. Vendors are welcome to correct factual errors about their own products.
Editorial
Pages are written and reviewed by the Software for Restaurants editorial team and carry the date they were last reviewed. Prices carry a separate date, because they change faster than the words around them.
