Free calculators and templates

These tools are hosted on Bzz, and are free to use without an account. We have not copied them here, because two copies of the same calculator on the internet helps nobody.

• Tip-out calculator

  Tip pooling arguments are almost always arithmetic arguments wearing a costume. Somebody thinks the bar took too much, somebody else thinks the runners did the work, and nobody has written down the percentages. This does the split from your own figures so the number on the wall is the number everyone agreed to.

• Tip-out policy generator

  Having a written tip policy matters more than having the perfect one. It gives new starters something to read on day one and stops the same conversation happening every quarter.

• Employee schedule maker

  If the rota still lives in a spreadsheet that gets photographed and sent to a group chat, this is a step up without becoming another subscription.

• QR code generator

  For menus, ordering pages, review links and check-in. Free, and it does not route through a tracking service that can start charging you later, which is a real failure mode with printed codes.

• Reservation policy generator

  No-shows get argued about because the terms were never stated. Writing down the cancellation window and the deposit rule in advance is most of the fix.

• Waitlist sign-in sheet

  A printable sheet for the door on the nights the system is down, or before you have a system at all.
